MR. REGINALD JAMES LOVELL
The passing of Mr. Reginald James Lovell, which occurred in the Palmerston North Hospital on Sunday following a lengthy illness, came as a shoek to his relatives and friends in Levin. Mr. Lovell, who was only 33 years of age, was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Lovell, of Wanganui and formerly of Bine Valley, Blenheim. He 'had seen four years in the Middle East during World War II, serving in the campaigns in Greece, Libya and Syria. On his return to New Zealand in 1943 he was discharged from the 2nd N.Z.E.F. and married Miss Sylvia Annie Wilkinson, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Wilkinson, of Princes Street, Levin. After living for a short time at Tokomaru he moved to Levin, tc.king up residence in Tratalgar Street and entering the employment of a well-known local carrying firm. The late Mr. Lovell had suffered considerably from illness contracted while on overseas service, and had been confined to his bed since December last. He is survived by his wife and two-year-old son, Raymond, and they will receive much sympathy in their sad loss.
