General de Gaulle, 011 the third anniversary of his entry into liberated Paris, called on Frenchmen to forsaki oplitical differences and help hini bring his group, "Rallv of the French People," to a triumph at the October munieipal elections at which the rally would present candidates throughoul Franee. General de Gaulle said the rally was not a party. The rally 's camlidate; would be inen and women of diverse tendencies who had become ehainpion-s for the task of public salvation. Every retiring councillor would be able with out renouncing his convictions, to join Ihe rally on condition that he contracted to i'ollow it.
