Five furlougs from honie Emulous was lice lengths away from tlie pacemakcr, Gold Bar, aud with three furlongs to go Gold Bar led by two lengths from Turco, a length and a half from Knave of Diamonds. There it was that Highland Fling had raced up to be with Emulous. The two were-travelling fast and they were iu close attendance on Gold Bar into the straight where Highland Fling went on to win by two lengths H'rom Emulous, two lengths in front. of Nyallo Scott. Gold Bar was fourth folloved by Turco, Acropolis, Knave of Diamonds, Countless, Battie Colours, Shadow Maid and Navigate.
