EUROPEAN CUSTOMS UNION FAVOURED
Received Sunday, 8.50 p.m. PARJS, August §3, A majority s of members of the European Cooperation Coniinittee after a three-day stndy of the proposed Europeau CustQpis Union favoured the proposal. Britain claimed that her position was a special one because of her ImpeL'ial preference commitments. Only Norway and Sweden voted against the motion that a special body should be establisked to study the idea.
