Messrs. Townse'nd and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchants, Wellington, report that dur/rig tlie past week only limited supplies oi most varieties have been coming to hand, Chinese goosebernes a'nd t.ree tomatoes being ih * strong i demand, while passionfruit. and j hothouse tomatoes have ruet with j very ready saies. All varieties of j vegetables have been in fajr supply I with values firm, cabbage, swedes, pumpkins and kumeras all realising ceiling price. Large'r supplies of cauliflowers are coming to hand with values slightly easier on the previous week. There is a very strong demand for peas and- new potatoes. Most varieties of flowers are coming to hand more freely, with values still in accordance with last week's saies. ~ Smaller yardings of poultry have resulted in values firming.
