At today's final session the iollowing reconmiendation, put for ward hy the production and trade committee, was adopted: "That dollar savings m respect of films from hard curreney areas he achieved as follow: (a) Increase tlie fllxn Mx'6 tax from 25 j per cent.. to 40- -per cent. (h) Kemittances to hard currency countries to he limited to an amount not exceeding £30,000 (New Zeaiand cnrrency) in any one year, the halance due to he held' in New Zeaiand currency as a "frozen halance.
