POLYNESIANS WELCOME RAFT EXPEDITION
Received Tuesdav, 7 p.m. NEW YORK, August 18. The Kon-Tiki raft expedition which crashed into Raroia reef in the Tuamotu Archipelago on August 7, radioed today: "Our expedition has been l'ound by Polynesian uatives who have moved us six miles in their canoes across th..lagoon. We are now on an island eontaining 120 uatives who have given u., a t.remendous reeeption and shown great hospitality. High tides and strong seas have washed the raft ovei t.he reef into the lagoon. We havt -plieed the mast and plan to sail th raft to the native village. Radit Iroubles continue b.ut all else is line. !
