JEWS ON HUNGER STRIKE
Received Tuesday, 9.5 a.m. PARIS, Aug. 18. Jewish refugees on three ships off Port de Bouc began a hunger strike today as a protest against the British refu'sal to' allow them to return to Palestine. Reuter's correspondent reports that the Jews and paratroop guards on the Empire Rival at Port de Bouc clashed last night after a dispute between two Jews and one British soldier. Cairn was quickly restored.
