Personal Nina, daughter of Mr.- and Mrs. Bruce Knox, late of Otaki and now. of Wellington, has been under special medical attention, and it is very gratifying to know that her injured leg has responded to treatment. , Miss Rosa Mills, late of Otaki and ■ now of Wellington, has been very prominent in drama circles in Wellington. At the W.E.A. competitions the ability of Miss Mills was referred to most eulogistieally by the judge, Madame Dronke. A wedding of considerable interest, and which was largely atended, took piace at St. Jude's Church, Wellington, on Saturday afternoon, when Mr. Thomas James Maddock, of Wellington, was married to Miss Mary Aileen Bright, daughter of Mr. "Vic" Bright and the late Mrs. Bright, erstwhile residents ' of Otaki. The bride was charmingly attired, and among her bridesmaids was her sister, Nita, also very nicely gowned. Their bouquets were works of art. After the ceremony the R.S.A. Hall at Miramar was well filled with guests, many from Otaki and the Wairarapa. Speeches of a eulogistic liature were made, while presents were both costly and numerous. Sharp Earthquakes T\fro~sharp shocks of earthquake Were experienced at Otaki last night, one at 6.46 p.m. and the other at 8.34. * Footballers Entertained On Saturday night the visiting Wairoa junior football team was entertained at a dance at Raukawa, where there was a large gathcring. A very enjoyable time was spent. On Friday night ■ they were the i guests of Otaki Amusements. Ltd. Indoor Basketball The indoor basketball draw for Wednesday night is as follows: 7.10 p.m., B.T.C. v. Wanderers B; 7.30, Raukawa v. Aces (Hearts) ; 7.50, Otaki v. Raukawa A; 8.10, Combined v.
