U.S. OFFER REJECTED
Received Monday, 12.50 a.m. BATAVIA, Augst 17. The Indonesian Republican Govern ment has sent a reply to the second Ameriean offer of good offices to settle the Indonesion dispute. It repeated its request that an Interaational Arbitration Commission be sent to Indonesia as soon as possible and asked agair that America tise its good offices i infiuence the Netherlands and thf Security Couneil to agree to inter national arbitration. The Government said it was unable to alter its deeision made earlier.
