REPRESENTATIVE BADMINTON

TEAM TO PLAY FEILDING Following the Horowhenua Badminton Association 's trials at Koputaroa on Wednesday evening, the following team was chosen to represent the association in a match with Feilding on Saturday, August 23: — Men: Messrs. J. Bryant (Manakau), H. Benning (Ohau), T. Laing, W. McMillan, J. Ward (Koputaroa) and V. E. Tippler (Shannon).-., Ladies: Misses M. Karauti and M. Bevan (Ohau), Mrs. W. jPhillips, Miss M. Horn and Mrs. B. Mather (Manakau) and Miss M. Fuller (Shannon). Reserves are Messrs. M. Staples (Manakau) and J. Farming (Ohau) , and Mesdames Baker and Koberstein (Koputaroa) . Mr. J. Bryant is captain of the team. Some excellent badminton was witnessed during the trials, in which six players from each of the four clubs played off in an elimination competition.
