BOXER DIES IN SQUALOR
Received Friday, 10 a.m. ' LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14. Ge'orge Godfrey, aged 50, the ' giant negro boxer, has died in squalor. He used to tell his friends he had made 500,000 dollars in -the ring. He fought from 1922 to 1932, winning 72 matches and losing nine. His greatest victory was a decision over Paulino Uzcudin in 1928.
