Personal Mr. A. H. (Tom) Sage, wh q has been in indifferent health for some time, is now a patient at the Home of Compassion Hospital, Wellington. Mr. -and Mrs. J. F. . Nicolson and their little daughter are at pre'sert in Otaki. For some time they have resided in Waimate, but expect to again take up residence in the north. Winterburn ranks equal with Ramsbottom and Gray." A Correction It was stated in Wedresday's issue that the bowling meeting in connection with Sunday tournaments would be held on Thursday. This should have read Monday. Rivers Rise Rivers in the district are carrying more than their usual quota of water due to the heavy rairs of yesterday. A heavy shower yesterday afternoon was responsible for the overflowing of water channels in the town. indoor Basketball The results of the indoor basketball games played on Wednesday night are as follows:- Wanderers A 24, Wanderers B 2; Tuis 8; Aces (Hearts) 6; Combined 15, HMS. 4; Raukawa A 10, B.T.C. 0; Otaki defaulted to Raukawa B; Aces ( Spa des ) 18, Raukawa 8.
