MONTHLY MEETING At the monthly meeting of the Church of England Ladies' Guiid Mrs. Leng-Ward was appointed sick. visitor for August, following a report by , Mrs. T. Walker on her activities in connection with visiting the sick during the past two months. Mrs. C. Parr undertook'the care of the church for August. It was decided, a§ in the past, to hold a dance at Labour weekena, the arrangements for which were left in the hands of the secretary (Mrs. Parr.) Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs, R. P, Lester and Miss Allerby, and a competition was won by Mrs. Rasmussen. ; All members were asked to bring a small bag suitable for holding a knob of blue to the next meeting. |Mrs. Leng-Ward offerea to run a competition, "Something new from something used." Anyone may enter and Mrs. J. Newton will judge the articles, for which two- prizes will be awarded. Entries may be left with the organiser or Miss Ngaire Peach, and must be in by next meeting day, September 3. All articles will beeome the property of the guild and will be on sale at the forthcoming bazaar. .
