Received Wednesda}'', 7 p.m. LONDON, August 13. A four hours' meeting between the Coal Board nnd miners' leaders yesterday again faiied to reach an agreement on arrangements for working longer hours. Tlie Daily Mail says the miner.repeated' their offer to vvork ,on alter uate Waturdavs but the board, becaustit would cost less, prefers Mr. Attlee's suggestiou of an extra half-hour's vvork daily. The parties will confer agaiii on August 20. The Daily Telegraph says that if no agreement is then reach ed the Govern ment may be asked to intervene.
