Impressed Rifles
A request that the Minister of Defence take steps to. see that more sympathetie and -generous treatment is accorded members of rifle clubs who had their rifles impressed ar d -returned not r-eally suitable to their special needs, was made in a notice of a question given by Mr. ;M. H. Oram in the House of Reprfesentarives, Mr. Oram added that the rifles may be generally servicoable but , not sufficiently accurate for rifle 'Glub requirements. Members would much jprefer a new barrel to a-n old barrel plus comper,sation for deterioration.
