Unqualified support for the campaign now being conducted by the Royat Society of St. George through its ' ' Miss Xew Zealand" quest, to obtain funds for the sending of gift food parcels to the people in Britain, was- expressed by the leader of the Opposition, Mr. Hol- ' land, who said he had been a consistent advocate of the utinost aid to Britain. : He, therefore, could not let the "Miss New Zealand" quest pass without expressing his wholehearted approva] oi it and of the objeet behind it. "1 think it was a very happy thought by the Royal Society of St. George to comliine a drive for-lielp for Britain with a search for the ideal New Zealand gin. I am sure that wlien she is found and goes to Britain she will get a great recepl'ion from the people there," Mr. Holland said.
