AMkrrSAR, August 10. Widespread disturbances iu five villages near Amiitsai today l'esulted in tke deatL of 13S M'oslems aud two1 Sikhs. It is reported that the* MosTem population of three villages has been "practically liquidated. " A special eorrespondent of the Hindustau Tinies said that 700 Hindus, Sikhs and Mosleras, iucluding Women and children, 'have been killed ih riot-; ing ita the past eight days. He 'add'ed that the entire popnl'ation of 107 oi dalalabad village were killed fonr days ago and 7S Moslems were slain in a neighbouring village. Al'tog'ether 488 wounded have been admitted to Amrit sar hospital. Troops killed six Sikhs and injured 30 when they opened lire on the outskirts of Amritsar, where two pitclied battles were fought between rlval groups arined with bombs and guns. Two persons were killed and five injured in st.abbing attacks in Lahore.
