WELLINGTON, August 10. As a result of a decision reached at the biennial conferenee of the Post and Telegraph Employees' Association held in Wellington last week a number of proposals concerning salaries and conditions are to be discussed at an early date with the Director-Geueral of the Department. The election of officers of the Association resulted: President, Mr. P. W. Twiss (Wellington) ; vice-presidents, senior Mr. B. J. Ivor (Wellington), junior Mr. G. A, 1/Vilkes (W^ellington) ; executive, Messrs T. Falconer (Hastings), R. L. Gannaway (Napier), L. A. Haynes (Christchurch), S. M. Lamont (Westport), D. McGeachen (Auckland) and D. A. Palmer (Dunedin).
