NEW PLYMOTJTH, August 10. Two men were killed instantly and a youth seriously injured when a light car and heavy truck collided on the Strat-ford-Toko Road tonight. They were: Killed: Walter Stanley GoldsacK, aged 28, of Tariki. Jack Gordon Goldsack, aged 25, of Tariki. Injured: Joseph Beattie, aged 17, oi Ngaere. The car, wliich was driven by Walter Goldsack, met in an almost head-on collision with the truck which was driven hy Joseph France, motor transport driver on the Stratford- Whangamomona route. The victims were the sons of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Goldsack, of Tariki, and Mr. Beattie is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Beattie, of Lyndon Road, Hastings, and is employed hy a farmer at Ngaere. His condition tonight was reported to he serious.
