N.Z. SEA MAN NOT INVOLVED IN MAN'S DEATH
Received Monday, 9.45 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 10. Detective Superintendent Carter, who is in charge of the investigation into the death of William de Long, the taxi-driver whose body was found on August 6 inside his cab on the road between Bristol and Bath, said the police had yesterday interviewed a New Zealand seaman for whom they had been seeking. He gave a satisfactory account of his movements and had now rejoined his ship. He was never under arrest.
