Personal Mr. J. F. Nicolson had the misfortune at Christchurch 011 Saturday to receive a f all and break his collarbone. Mr. Bruce Fogden, of Otaki, has accepted a position with the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., and will proceed to Palmerston North to take up duties there. Mrs. George Ward,-of Rangatira Street, who has been a resident of Otaki for some time, died at the Wellington Hospital yesterday mornmg. Deceased was well-known locally and highly respected. - Peusion Payments This month the family benefits will be paid on the 11th, age benefits on the 19th, invalids, orphans and widows on the 20th, war pehsions on the 21st and war veterans on the 28th. Road Widening Workmen are at present busily engaged in cleaning the man road from Waerenga Road to the bridge with a view to widening the thoroughfare. Surveyors are also engaged on the work.
