HOROWHENUA BASKETBALL
REPRESENTATIVES SELECTED Gnly B and C- grade teams played in the Horowhenua basketball games on Saturday. Following are the results: Aces 7, Tui B 1; Textile 8, Tui B 5; College E 7, C.O.G. C 4; College F 7, Primary B 0; College G 10, Ajax 2; College H 2, Ajax 1, Aces 9, College D 6. The following girls have been chosen to represent Horowhenua in .the annual fixture against Hutt Valley, which takes place on Satnrdav. Auffust 9: —

Denton, C. Lynch, D. Williams (forwards) ; D. Rowe (captain) , J. Arcus, N. Cole (centres) ; ..V. Lang, D. Galloway, L. Nicholson (defence) ; M. Haggerty and S. Fox (emergencies), B grade: 'E: Snowdon (captain), P. Burt (forwards) ; A. Hutton, S. Parr, Joan McLaughlin (centres) ; J. Clough, H. Davies,- R- Davies
(defence) ; and M. Honore (emergency).; ' •• Any girl unable to travel is asked to ring 517M as soon as possible. The bus will leave the college at 11 a.m. sharp. Players are asked to note that there will be no games on August 9, but that play in all grades will recommence on August 16. As ' a team is being chosen to play in the Rotorua tournament, the following girls are asked to stay for practice after matches on August 16: P. Prendeville, M. Haggerty, N. Gordon and Joan Batten.
