Five arrests were made at Salford and two at Manchester last night as a ■esnff of the anti- Jewish disturbances. A brick was thrown at Salford througli ihe window of a shop in which an -S(i year-old vvoman lay i 11. She died soon afterwards. Four panes of glass were broken and a noticeboard torn down at the synagogue at Hornsev. Six windows of the Ramsgate synagogue were broken. After the anti-Jewish demonstrations at Liverpool twelve people were cliarged wis (lisorderly behaviour, breakmg shop windows and assaulting the police. All were remanded.
