DISPUTE BETWEEN INDIA AND SOUTH AFRICA
Received Tuesday, 10.10 a.m. NEW DELHI, Aug. 4. it is reliably learned that Field Marshal Smuts, has written to Pandit Nehru, refusing to repeal the Asiatic Land Tenure Act which regulates the ownership and occupation of land by Asiatics. The dispute now comes before the United Nations General Asseifibly, probably in October. India is at present preparing a report for the Assembly.
