Higginson, of Waikanae, has returned from a tour of the north. Mr. Alf. Whitehorn, who has been 011 holiday, has returned to Tasman Beach. , The funeral of the late Mrs. Sam Morgan took place yesterday, when there was a large and representacive attendance, including a number from distant parts. Canon H. E. K. Fry conducted an impressive service on the lawn at the residence of the deceased, and also at the graveside. A large number of beautiful floral tributes were placed on the casket. Jumble Sale The jumble sale conducted in connection with All Saints' Guild on Friday was not the success anticipated, very few knowing that it was being held, On the House Milk spiiis, and one mustn't cry, but when it clings there is cause for copious weeping. The passing of the Dairy Bill should have stopped all that sort of business, but Mr. J. J. Maher (Otaki) brought it back by the skim of its teeth. In the debate on the Food and Drugs Amendment Bill he gave a long and highly scientific discourse on milk, and a Government member, with mock horror, said: "Do you mean to say we drink that stuff?" tfMr. Algie, who misses sometimes with his swings but scores other times in a roundabout way, remarked, "What a difference it makes with whisky." Mr. Maher said he would supply all the milk required if the member for Remuera would supply the whisky.
