TRANS-TASMAN AIR SERVICE
MELBOURNE, August 3, Proposals for a daily air service between Melbourne, Tasmania and the South^ Island of Netv Zealand are being laid before the Australian authorities by a representative of Sputli Island publie bodies (Mr. H. M, Maekav). He will urge on Qant:is Empire Airways that the company diould institute a trans-Tjj,sman service Dy Constellations with two daily rqund :rips conneeting Sydney and Melbourne with the main centres of New 5ealand.
