THEY MADE A TWO-FOOT RULE
The new Mirror Club in Hollywood is so exclusive that it has a membership of only four actors. Qualification for membership: Fat. The four initiates and their weights are: Andy Devine, 22st. '21b.; Sydney Greenstreet, 19st. 91b.; Oliver Hardy, 19st. 31b.; Walter Slezak, 16st. 61b. Slezak says that a Hollywood man becomes a member when he can see his feet only by standing in front of a mirror. Slezak is already hoping to resign from thc club. Once a matinee idol, he is on a harsh diet, and hopes to reduce himself out of the heavy villain class.
