The delegation from the Amalgamated Engineering Trades which recently visited the Soviet Union, states in its report that already the skill of Russian engineers is to be conipared with that of the British and reeommends that the type of industrial training given in the U.S.S.R. shouJd be adopted in this country, It commented favourably upon the Stalchanovite system in Russian factories and expressed the opinion that the success already achieved should serve as a warning to Britain to improve industrial meth-o'da, The delegation said that although their various discussions in Russia were conducted with complete frankness, they sometimes had a feeling that tfiey did not have complete freedom of movement and aetion. Photography was forbidden and their letters home censored.
