v— — "Squadron Leader and Mrs. Grevis Goetz, who have been staying with Mrs. Goetz's father, Canon H. E. K. Fry, at the vicarage, have returned to Wellington." Miss Kathleen Sawyer, the Wellington contralto, has ' left for Christchurch where she will commence a .broadcasting tour of the main national stations, giving three recitalis weekly Jrom each station. . The death occurred in Otaki yesterday of another well-known resL dent in the person of Mrs. Samuel Morgan. In her 67th year, Mrs. Morgan ' leaves her husband, four daughters and five sons. The funeral takes place at Otaki tomorrow (Sunday) at 2 p.m. The funeral of the late Mrs. Aomarere took place yesterday, the body being interred in .the .native cemetery in the presence of many relatives and friends. After an impressive ceremony at Raukawa a service was held at the Native cemetery, the Rev. Father Venning officiating. "Nea^rer My God To Thee," a favourite hymn of the deceased, was sung in Maori. A number of beautiful floral tributes were placed on the coffin.
