NEW DELHI, Aug, 1, According to a New Delhi radio announcement, the withdrawal of Ihe British troops from India and Pakistan will commence on August 17, when the first batch will leave Bombay after a ceremonial parade. States To Join Dominion The rulers of 22 Indian States have expressed a readiness to join the Dominion of India, s^ys an official anouncement. The States are Travancore, Baroda, Gwalior, Patiala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Nawanagar, Cochin, Rajpipla, Kotal, Dangarpur, Dhar, Jhalawar, Panna, Tehri-Gakha, Faridkot, Sangli, Sitamau, Palitana, Phaltan, Khairagarh, and Sandur. The announcement added that the instrument of accession had been finalised and accepted by the representatives of the States.
