LOCAL SINGER'S SUCCESS

HF ; — A local singer, Miss Fay Kirkbeck, daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs? V. Kirkbeck, Levin, recently achieved distinction during a 2ZB "Search for Talent" contest, securing first place in the demi-semi finals. She has yet to appear in a further session of this contest, and if she has similar suecess she will be entitled to compete in the semifinals. At the recent contest Miss Kirkbeck chose as her number "April Is A Lady." Her teacher is Mr. Hamilton-Dixon, of Wellington.
