Considerable school football and basketball activity has taken place this term. Representative football trials are being played each Saturday morning, with players *from Paraparaumu, Te Horo, Otaki, Otaki Convent, Manakau, Ohau, Levin, Levin Convent, Koputaroa, Poroutawhao and Tokomaru taking part. A tearn of 20 players will travel to Palmerston North to meet_ Manawatu primary representatives on August 9. . Another team will take part in the tournament against Wairarapa during the flrst week of the school holidays. The following is a list of interschool games played this term by Levin Primary School teams. Football: Beat Ohau, 7—3; beat Shannon, 22—3; drew with Levin Convent, $ — 3; beat Foxton, 5 — 3; beat Foxton Convent, 6 — 3; beat Poroutawhao, 9 — 0. Bmsketball: Levin A lost to Foxton a, 7—10; Levin b lost to Foxton. B, 11—12; Levin B drew with Levin Convent B, 5 — 5; Levin C lost to Levin Convent C, 5—7; Levin b lost to Fcrouf awhao B 9 — 12; Levin E lost to Poroutawhao E, 3 — 9. Three boys from the Levin Primary School will represent the district at the football tourney to be held in Masterton during the flrst week of the August holidays. The team will be drawn from pupils of all the primary schools in the Horowhenua district. -The three boys are: — Stewart Bonner, Brian Worman and Jim Broughton. Worman is reputed to be one of the best primary school forwards seen in the district for some time.
