WAIKANAE BOWLING CLUB

o The Waikanae Bowling Club played four pennant matches during last season and although it lost very enjoyable games resulted. Other matches were played against the Paraparaumu Beach Club and Raumati Club. Five one-day tournaments were held, three at Christmas time and two at Easter. During the season several donations were made to the club, and special thanks are due to Mr. Fj-ed Williams for presenting buttons for competition. The club hopes that a pavilion will shortly be erected. A ladies' day was held during the season and mid-week games arranged. These proved very enjoyable.
