AUCKLAND, July 28. No other board in New Zealand would have been capahle of doing the work the Auckland Hospital Board had done, said the ehairman, llr. A. .J Moody, at a meeting of the board to niglii. lle was answering criticism niade recentlv in the House of Repre senlaiives by ihe Minister of Industries and Coinmerce and foiiner Minis ter of Health, Hon. A. II. Xordmeyer ]f he thought it so incompetent, why did the, Minister insist tliat the obster rical and gynaeological hospital should be run by the board and not by art ad lioc body, asked Air. Moody. The board had saved the Minister 's faee while he held the portfolio and he had not shown liis receut iilclination then. The attack was ill-considered and illconceived and the ex-Minister would be well advised io hold his pahsonical tongue for once.
