SIGHT-SEEING VISIT
school PUFtLS' OUTING TO WELLINGTON The Levin School Committee decided at a meetlrig last night to give a subsidy of half the bus fare td- tliOSe pupils who will travel to Wellington next week at the invitation of the Wellington Junior Chambei- of Commerce. Some 84 pupils will make the trip, 42 boys ahd the same number of girls. The party ,of boys will leave Levin 1 at 7.30 a.m. on Tuesday, arriving about 9.30 a.m. in Wellington, Where they will be met by members of the Wellington Juhior Chamber, who will personally conduct them on a tour of the capital city. They will lBave on the return journey at 4.30 p:m. The girls will travel on Wednesday, and their programme will be the same as that of the boys. ' The headmaster, Mr.-Hi F. McClune, in his monthly report to the committee, said that during the month some i7 teachers from Surroundhlg schools had visited this centre. Accompanied by two inspectors from the Wellington Education Board, they had spoken highly of the work done by the teachers and, pupils .of the school.
