STRANGE FIND BY TWO FISHERMEN

Received Sundav, 8.40 p.m. LONDON, July 26. Two fxshermen, Bert Grant and Bob Byne, caught a tin box in Pevensey Bay (Sussex) and 011 it was written: "Ashes of Henry Robert Murrav, cremated at t'hristchurch, New Zealand, 16/1/1939. " The paper wrapped round ihe box bore a Xew Zealand stamp and the vvords: "Erom AL. S. Green. " The box has been ltanded to the police. I\rr. T. L. Jones, of the Christchurch Cremation Society, said the ashes were probably those of William Henry Robert Murrav who died at Timaru Uospital 011 January 12, 1939, and was cremated at Christchurch on January 16. Ilis explaimtion of the box being in the sea was that it was probably 011 a ship sunk during the war.
