WEDDING OF INTEREST

MARSHALL— MANZ Quite a large gathering of relaives and friends assembled at the ringiican Church, Otaki, to witness he wedding of Isobel Pauline, elder daughrer. of Mr. and Mrs. H. j. Manz, Ocaki Railway, to Eawin Miles, second son of Mrs. and the .ate Mr. C. E. Marshall, of Stanway, Feilding. Canon H. E. K. Fry was the offieiacmg minister and Miss Dulcie Taylor presided at the jrgan. . , , 'ihe" bride, who was escor.ea by her father, wore a beautiful and Inusuai gown of ivory crusted faille leaturing a peplum, which fell mto and formed a iong train. The embroidered tuile veil was worn over the iace and fell from a headdress of natural fiowers. A shower bouquet, ccmposed of cyciamen, ireezias, cnrysanthemums and maidenhair fern, coirpleted a charming toilet. Maiaing the bride was her only sis er, Hilda, attired in turquoise crusted faille, a replica of .the bride's gown. Her head-dress was of natural fiowers in apricot tonings, and she carried a bouquet of apricot -tinted gladioli, freezias and heath, with maidenhair fern. Mr. John Marshall, brother of he bridegroom, was bestman. The ashers ai the church were Messrs. Arthur Marshall and Ian Tews. During the signing of the register Miss Grace Marshall sa'ng a solo. The reception was held at the Raukawa Hall. Mrs. Manz, assisted by Mrs. Marshall, received the guests, wearing an American model frock in black and silver, with black accessories and a shoulder spray of pink cyciamen. The bridegroom's mother chose a black and white frock with black accessories and wore an apricot shoulder spray. The usual toasts were honoured with gusto. For travelling the bride chose a three-piece tweed suit, with brown accessories. The happy couple later left by air for Norfolk Island, where their honeymoon was spent. Their fuiure home will be in Hawera.
