Bulls was bedecked -with bunting yesterday for the visit of Pield Marshal Lord Montgonnery, passing through from Ohakea to Wanganui. Children from the Bulls and Marton District High Schools and trainees from Floek House, together with a large assembly of the public, paraded the main street for the occasion. When the ears stopped in the town, Mr. R. Mackay, chairman of the Bulls Town Board, handed a small pa-ckage to the illustrious soldier, and on it were inscribed the following words: ' ' The Citizens of Bulls extend their very best wishes to you. As tliis is the only place in the world where one obtains butter from 'Bulls', we have pleasure in presenting you with this sample. We are looking forward ta your next visit with Mr. Churchill.. We are all very interested in the town of Cowes in England, our citizens having already forwarded a food parcel there. On your next visit to Cowes we would like you to extend our personal greetiugs to the citizens there. Kia Ora! Katoa! (Signed) Rupert Mackay, chairman. ' ' "Monty" thanked Mr. Mackay for the tolcen,- and shook hands with him before continuing his journey to Wanganui.
