QRDER PLACED WITH FIRM IN • t | GLASGOW! ] * An order had been placed with 'a arai in Glasgow for uniforms for the Horowhenua Pipe Band and it was aniicipated that they would arrive in the New Year, said Mr. J. R. Macfarlane, chieftain of the Horowhenua Scotiish Society, at .he monthly members' night on Thursday. Over £200 was still required to meet the cost of. the ent to assist in meeting ' this ent to assist in meetnig this amount by donating to the uniform appeal fund met with an immediate response, Mr. J. Wright donating £5 and Mrs. E. Taplin £1 ls. Several small amounts were also received.
