WELLINGTON Julv 24. An mitline of the features il wished to see incorporated in any system of trust control of hotels, was approved by he ananui meeting of the New Zea1 a n d Alliance. l-'ifth on the list was this clause:— "That all the net profits of trusts be lirsf used to licjuitlate capital costs and •ifter that for remedying the known detriiuental eflfect of the beverage use of nleohol. ' ' Other resolntions were passed stating that while rigidlv adhering to the conviction that the total abolition of the iquor tratiic was the only solution of lio probleni it created, the meeting considered that wlien trust control was irouglvt into operation, it was desirable ' that the trust be elected by a vote of ihe people, that il be in sole control of he supply, sale and distribution oi iquor in its nrea, that its powers and unctinns be clearlv and fully defined .n the act so as to cover all points of npervisiou at present provided by licensing committees, that the conduet of all tfusts be subject to review on •ippeal by a special central judicial uod v inciuding a Supreme Court judge who should be chairman, that where a trust control operates at the second .xi ree-y earlv poi 1 after its inception and chereafter at every poll, the experhnent •ie submitted to the public by way of : referenduni as to whether they wish to retain it or revert to private enterprise I or no-licence. j
