GOOD FIELDS AT CHRISTCHURCH HUNT TOMORROW

(SPECIAL— FROM
i WELLINGTON, This Day. Besides the concluding day of the Avondale fixture tomorrow, the Christchurch Hunt meeting which has been looked upon in the past as a drjess-rehearsal for the Grand National fixture, opening at Riccarton tomorrow week. The Homeby Steeplechase will be a good trial for the Grand National candidates, Page's Raid and Test Pilot. Both these southerners are in good form and are regarded as good prospects for tomorrow.
Although the Brabazon Handicap has drawn a large field,' Soneri, in spite of her solid impost, will be a strong fancy, and, seeing that there will be no rehandicap to the winner of the Brabazon, this brilliant mare can be relied on to give a ffne performance. She is also in strong demand for the Winter Cup. The Longbeach Hurdles has not drawn a strong field, and racegoers will have to look beyond this field for the prospective winner of the prand National Hurdles. Probably Trentham has solved the problem. At Marton the Rangitikei Hunt Club will hold its annual meeting at which the fields are of handy size. Last week's Manawatu Hunt meeting at Awapuni should be a good guide for Rangitikei. Win and place betting operates at' all three meetings.
