The Milking • Shorthorn stud, Soma Meadows, Te Horo, waS recently disposed of . by . the New Zealand Loan an'd Mercantilfe Agency Co., Ltd., oh afecount of Mi\ G. S. Amos. There was a largfe bench of buyers and the offeringj I which tomprised 21 cows, nine two-year-old hei'fers, ten yearlin| (heifers, six yearling bulls and one herd sire, came forward in good j order. Top price oi thfe sale was 81 I guineas realised for the cow, Kereru Nellie, which went to Mr. W. J. Slack, Bunnythorpe. The chief purchasers and pricfes were as under: — Cows : W. J.
