BOY SCOUTS' EXHIBITION

GOVERNOR-GENERAL TO BE INVITED A meeting of the committee elected in connection with the annual boy scouts' exhibition was held on Monday night, Mr. L. F. Moss presiding. The meeting was an enthusiastic one, and further arrangements were made in connection with the exhibition to be held at Raukawa on October 18. While several items were deleted from last year's schedule, others of a more interesting nature vwere added. School children will be well catered for, while the open classes should draw a large number of competitors. The schedule was made quite an attractive one, and it is expected that the public will give the exhibition every support. Arrangements were also made to have exhibits attractively displayed, and several matters of general interest were left in the hands of the chairman and Mrs. Henwood, the exhibition secretary. It was decided to invite the Governor-Generai, Sir Bernard Freyberg, who is Chief Scout, to be present. A further meeting will be held next Monday night.
