ARABS DEMAND CESSATION OF JEWISH IMMIGRATION

Received Wednesday, 10.30 a.m. BEIRUT, July 22. Hamid Fragieh, the Lebanese Foreign Minister,- speaking for Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi-Arabia and Yemen, demanded before the United Nations Palestine Committee today, the immediate cessation of Jewish immigration to Palestine and the establishment of an independent Arab Government. Hamid Frangieh , declared that Jewish terrorism might provoke other nationalist organisations to repel Zionist aggression and introduee elements of violence* and insecurity, jeopardising the position of the Jews in the Arab world. The Arabs would make any separate Jewish State in Palestine a pplitical and economic ghetto. "The Arqbs cannot admit partition and the establishment of a Jewish State in the heart of the Arab world, splitving it in two."
