BOOKS UNLAWFULLY TAKEN FROM LIBRARY
"Once again magazines have been taken from the reading room tables," said the acting libfarian of the . Levin Public Library, Mrs. M. Merritt, in a feport to last night's meeting of the Levin Borough Council. "Out of a total of six small magazines only two remain, while some of the covers have also been renioved. From the lending department sevefal books are missing and it can only be assuhied that these have been unlawfully taken." The MayOr, Mr. H. B. Burdekin, eommented that these offences were difficuit to observe and suggested that members of the public might assist by reportirtg any instances they saw of books being removed or damaged. It was in their own interests and those of the town to do so.
