INTERESTING ANNUAL MATCH The Levin . Golf Club's annual match between' teams chosen by the president and vice-president took. place on Saturday last. The vice-president's team won the match by four games. In the singles the president's team won 9 of the 25 games, and three were halved. Todd, Wilmshurst lost to Corry, Hutton beat Carmichael, Bonner lost to Lester, Nockels lost to Fritchley, McShane beat Everrngham, H. Black halved with Hastedt, Hughes lost to M. Wilson, Saunders beat H. Bull, Frederikson beat C. Wallace, Wade halved with Thornley. Foursomes: Phillips and King beat Melville and Murray, Hosie and Eagar lost to Franklin and Walker, Douds and Nic.ci beat Morris and Langelan, Sweetzer and Watis beat J. Todd and A. On Sunday a team of 22 players was to have gone to Buckley for an inter-club game, but the weather proved too boisterous and though a number of the team did travel, no official games were played. It is hoped to be able to arrange the match later in the season. Players are reminded that the second qualifying round for the club championships will take place next Saturday, and a full muster is expected at the.links.
