BRIGHT FOURTH GRADE
The fourth grade' game at Otaki 1 between .Shanhori and Otaki gave jpnlookers a bright exhibition. The lads gave a sparkling display that pleased. Forward rucking and scrum work were features that were fought out with "'spirit, while passing rushes were crisp . and clean, though lacking penetratjpn at "times, the ball simply passing through the chain of backs withou'c much ground being gainpd. - Howpver, some good rhn's' were made. In' the first half Verrent (Otaki) and Andrews (Shannon) scored tri'es, while in the second half the visitors added two further tries, making the final score Shannon 9, ptaki 3. Mr. H. Piper was the referee.
