The entire arrangements for tfie fuhction were left to the- juriior branch, the eommittee of which, ,wfth the assistance of the seniors, arid under the supervision of Jvl.rs*S. J. The official guests were Mr." and Mrs.. K. J. Holyoake, Mr. J. J. Maher and Mrs .Maher, the Mayor and May°ress °f Levin, Mr. and: Mrs. Hp. "Burdekin, Prof essor and -Mrs. F. P. Wilson, the president of the junior branch, Mr. D. B. Denton, and the secretary of the "junior branch, Miss N. Walker. Also preserit were the ele.ctprate chairman,
Mr. A. Moss, and Mrs. Moss, tne electorate secretary", Mr. ' ' R. "G. Romans' and Mrs. Romans, and the electorate organiser, Mr. W. Day arid Mrs. Day. A cordial welcome was accorded the visitors by Mr. Denton prior to thp presentation of the debutantes, and a bouquet of orchids was presented to" Mrs. Holyoake by Miss P.; Hills, and tulips and brchids to Mrs. Maher by Miss A. Denton. Both bouquets were donated by Mrs. K. Black. ' Unfortunately it was not possible for Mr. Holland to "be present, bur he was very happy to deputise for him, said Mr. Holyoake. Both he and Mrs. Holyoake were happy to receive the debutantes, who he consi.dered w.ere a credit to the town ahd district. |yheh congratulating the juniors on^the success of the ball, Mr. Holyoake said they had all done a "grand job."
