sterilised baey powder Ih "The Chronicle" of July 8 was published a paragraph" concerning proprietary brands of -baby powder, inferring that all brands were taken off the market about the middle of last year owing to the reported discovery of tetanus infection in cer.ain brands. Colgate-Pahnolive, Ltd., have pointed out that their baby talc was never taken off the market because baeteriological tests proved fchat the powder was entirely free from tetanus infection. The company sterilises all its talc products by heatrng them to 154 degrees Cenfigrade and retaining them at that temperature for 90 minutes. The above process of sterilisation is in excess of the standard impospd oy the regulations.
